What you'll do

The Application Engineer HVAC carries out the technical study of the project on behalf of the Project Manager:

• Optimize the HVAC automation concept in terms of energy efficiency.
• Based on the order received (quotation text, measurement sheet, descriptions, drawings, etc.), designing climate control systems as part of a total integrated building management system optimized according to energy efficiency and the required air quality level
• Creating P&IDs, data point lists, design specifications, equipment selection and implementation documents.
• Monitoring the technical progress and quality and periodically reporting on this verbally and in writing, both to the own supervisor and to the project manager.
• Transferring the implementation documents to the programmer. The programming can take place in Belgium or in Eastern Europe. Assessing whether the programming carried out complies with the assignment also falls within the range of tasks of the Application Engineer.
• Technical discussions with installation companies and/or end customers.
• Contributing to the establishment and updating of procedures and standards.

Who we're looking for

• Diploma: Bachelor or industrial engineer electromechanical engineering / air conditioning / automation with interest in PLC programming
• Knowledge of languages: Dutch or French with an understanding of English
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC, standards and installation technology, possibly from internships or final projects.
• Experience with Microsoft software (Outlook, Office, Visio). Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Affinity with programming for automation, energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources.
• Good communication skills.
• You have affinity with computers, both hardware and software.
