What you'll do

We are looking for an Instrumentation and Control Engineer for a Chemical client of us in the region Kempen.

Your key-tasks:

  • Instrumentation & control components calculation, selection, and integration
  • Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems, & Safety Related Systems instrument selection
  • Experience with HAZOP & LOPA
  • Self starter, positive, with a strong ability to work cross functionally in a matrix organization with limited supervision
  • Thorough understanding of all applicable EU Electrical, & Safety standards
  • Experience with electrical design international standards IEC and IEEE.
  • Thorough background in PFD, P&ID, Electrical drawings, & LV
  • Good command of WSCAD, SEE Electrical, ePlan, AutoCad Electrical, Conval, SmartPlant Instrumentation
  • Working understanding of Siemens PLC’s, analog/digital inputs, etc.
  • Experience with projects for Hazard Location specially in EU.
  • Proactive person who takes ownership over the assigned duties.
  • Experience in international engineering teams.
  • Previous experience with DFMA.
  • Previous experience developing and driving internal WF processes cross disciplines.
  • Ability to work in design, & selection environments, as well as manufacturing & commissioning.
  • Must be able to deal with complex and sometimes contradicting requirements. Can handle ambiguity by decoupling major goals into achievable work packages.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Who we're looking for

  • At least 5 years of practical experience in I&C design, selection, installation, commissioning. Previous EPC, Oil & Gas experience is considered an asset
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, engineering
