Instrumentation and Control Engineer
What you'll do
We are looking for an Instrumentation and Control Engineer for a Chemical client of us in the region Kempen.
Your key-tasks:
- Instrumentation & control components calculation, selection, and integration
- Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems, & Safety Related Systems instrument selection
- Experience with HAZOP & LOPA
- Self starter, positive, with a strong ability to work cross functionally in a matrix organization with limited supervision
- Thorough understanding of all applicable EU Electrical, & Safety standards
- Experience with electrical design international standards IEC and IEEE.
- Thorough background in PFD, P&ID, Electrical drawings, & LV
- Good command of WSCAD, SEE Electrical, ePlan, AutoCad Electrical, Conval, SmartPlant Instrumentation
- Working understanding of Siemens PLC’s, analog/digital inputs, etc.
- Experience with projects for Hazard Location specially in EU.
- Proactive person who takes ownership over the assigned duties.
- Experience in international engineering teams.
- Previous experience with DFMA.
- Previous experience developing and driving internal WF processes cross disciplines.
- Ability to work in design, & selection environments, as well as manufacturing & commissioning.
- Must be able to deal with complex and sometimes contradicting requirements. Can handle ambiguity by decoupling major goals into achievable work packages.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Who we're looking for
- At least 5 years of practical experience in I&C design, selection, installation, commissioning. Previous EPC, Oil & Gas experience is considered an asset
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, engineering
