While many of us are concerned about the increasing energy prices and how we will ensure an energy supply, engineers and scientists are working hard towards solutions and answers.

We already spoke about the importance of nuclear energy, but there are many more opportunities next to this.

As recruiters, we are in contact every day with engineers and we are seeing that the alternative energy sector is not only very popular, but that it also employs more and more people.

This observation is also backed by research of Cleantech Flanders, which concluded that even in covid-times, the sector kept on growing.

One of the answers within this sector, is wind energy. Research in the US showed that by increasing the accuracy of weather forecasts, we can save at least $384 million in energy costs.

This shows opportunities to not only broaden the energy supply, but also to reduce energy costs.
