Quality Engineer supply chain

What you'll do

You are the internal focal point for all quality related matters affecting the supply chain on the program in which you participate. You work together with the program quality assurance and of course in close collaboration with the program team, procurement, replenishment, local supply chain, operations.

Responsibilities

• You monitor the quality performance of your supplier in term of quality and delivery

• You proactively support the supplier in improving their performance: non-conformity management, improvement plan, audits, risk analysis,

• You make sure that the customer requirements are properly flown down to supplier and apply properly.

• You qualify supplier and perform regular audits at their place.

• You are member of transfer of work project teams as quality representative.

• As we favour a close collaboration with supplier, you will have to travel at 30% of your time, more in case of crises.

Who we're looking for

• Master in industrial engineering, or mechanics, or materials science or chemistry or equivalent.

• More than 10 years of professional working experience in a similar industry.

• A relevant experience in supply quality is a big asset for this position.

• Practical knowledge with problem solving methodologies : 8D, 5whys.

• Knowledge of aerospace materials, components and assembly of structural parts is a plus.

• You have a good knowledge of quality standards (AS/EN9100, ISO9001, IATF 16949,...).

• You have the maturity to work on the projects allocated to you.

• Excellent communication skills in English and French or Dutch.

• Team player.

• Solution minded and you like challenges.

• You can work under pressure and maintain a high result driven working environment.

• Able to be assertive and convincing when needed.

• Excellent analytical skills.

• Good knowledge of MS Office and ERP (SAP, S4HANA).
